At Colorado Divorce Mediator, we believe that divorce mediation should be affordable, transparent, and accessible. Our pricing is straightforward—no hidden fees, no surprises—so you can focus on what matters: reaching a fair agreement that works for your family.

How Our Fees Work

Our mediation process involves two key components:

1. Deep Dive Sessions ($150 per party) Individual, confidential pre-mediation sessions where we understand your situation, concerns, and goals. These sessions are crucial to our mediation process—they allow us to help you think clearly about your interests before joint mediation begins.

2. Mediation Sessions ($350 per party) Joint sessions where both parties work together to resolve your divorce. Most divorces require at least one mediation session, though some benefit from additional sessions depending on complexity.

Fee Structure

ServiceCost Per Party
Deep Dive Session$150
Mediation Session (1st)$350
Mediation Session (Additional)$350

Total cost is per party. A two-party divorce means fees are charged to both spouses.

Why Mediation is Cost-Effective

A contested divorce in court typically costs $15,000–$50,000+ in attorney fees alone. Mediation gives you:

  • Faster resolution (weeks, not months)
  • Lower total cost (usually under $3,000 for both parties)
  • Control over outcomes (you decide, not a judge)
  • Confidentiality (court proceedings are public; mediation is private)
  • Better relationships (especially important if children are involved)

Investing in mediation now often saves thousands in legal fees and preserves your ability to co-parent effectively.
